Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, keeping track of all cash and credit transactions, and making sure each customer gets exactly what they're owed.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how deals are done.
You should be available to take weekend shifts occasionally.
Ultimately, you'll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities Manage transactions with customers using cash registers Scan goods and ensure payment is confirmed by card Collect payments whether in cash or credit Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets Ring up sales and collect payments if needed Cross-sell products and introduce new ones Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information Greet customers when entering or leaving the store Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas Track transactions on transaction charts and report on sales issues to management Requirements Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales (preferred) Basic computer knowledge used in processing transactions Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register systems and point-of-sale software Good communication skills
